ATTICA. Athens. Circa 500/490-485/0 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 22 mm, 18.29 g, 3 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic and round earring. Rev. [A]Θ[E] Owl standing right, head facing; to left, olive sprig; all within incuse square. Asyut Group VI and pl. XXXII, K. HGC 4, 1591. Svoronos pl. 2, 1-4. A lovely piece of very attractive archaic style, with a magnificent owl. Struck on a short and compact flan, otherwise, good very fine.
